Operation Iraqi Freedom

My Time

Hey guys. Two days, two posts. Who would have known. Things are going well here. I haven't heard anything new in a while. I didn't my guitar in with our huge load of mail we got yesterday, but my squad leader got his and he's letting me play it. So at least I can get rid of the withdrawl. My mother went to send me some stuff in the mail yesterday and they wouldn't allow her to send it. She tried to send some hand sanitizer and OFF bug spray. They said it was because of the aerosol and the sanitizer has alcohol in it. I've seen personally both come in the mail here so I think it depends on who you go to and how big of puppy eyes you give them, or how honest you are in your contents list, but I thought I would warn you before you went all the way down to the post office and they told you that you couldn't send it. So be ye warned. Other than that, things are as good as they can be, can't wait until I get home, but I guess I have to. Hope you are all well, thanks so much for the mail, e-mails, and comments on my site, I love reading them. Thank you and God bless.

Hey everyone. So we started getting some attacks again. Not a lot, but enough to make you look up. We were driving down the road and three hit at the same time. 2 of them were about 1000 meters from our quarters and the other was about 300 meters from where we work. I wasn't there (because I was driving) but they say that it threw dirt and stuff up on top of the roof of where we work. But they came off and marked off the hole that it made, kinda small. Looks like a snake hole. But I got some pics of it and they are on their way to the states as we speak, so hopefully they'll be there soon. Well I guess that's it. I hope all is well, sorry I'm in a rush, but time's running out. God bless you all.

Hey guys. I need to make a correction that I wrote in the last post. To mail other soldiers here, you'll have to send it like I said, to any soldier, but it will have to be in c/o of me. If you just send it to an anonymous soldier they said they probably won't send it. So anyway, that's all that's happening right now. We got a lot of mail in the other day and worked our butts off, my guitar still hasn't come in. But that's ok, I've gone 2 months without it so far so I think I can handle another couple of days. Other than that, there really isn't much to report. We heard another round this morning, but when you're in the post office, you can't tell if it's outgoing or incoming because the roof is made of sheet metal so both make a huge loud noise. It sure is good to be writing boring messages again, I love it when nothing's going on. Ok, well I'm going to go for now. Thanks so much your support and mail...it's a real morale booster. God bless.
